How You Can Apply For Scholarship
Joyce R. Kelly was born August 24, 1929 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Joyce worked for Seattle First National Bank, now Bank of America, for about 35 years. She was very active in her community: Ridgecrest Garden Club, Washington State Parliamentary Law, Washington State Business & Professional Woman (BPW) and Woodinville BPW.
Joyce was a founding member of Woodinville BPW and a dedicated believer in all that BPW stands for: Women helping women personally, professionally, and politically. She was also an avid gardener and would host a large plant sale every year. Woodinville BPW has since changed its name in 2014 to BPW Eastside to encompass the Bothell, Kirkland, Redmond and Woodinville areas. The Joyce Kelly Memorial Scholarship is offered to a women age 30+ in the Puget Sound area who is majoring in Horticulture or Business Administration.
“Joyce R. Kelly”
Joyce passed away quietly at her home in Snohomish on July 26, 2000. She was survived by daughters, Linda Allen, Ronda Goshorn, Michele Burchard, Kate Franchimon and Teresa Kelly; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many more family and friends too numerous to name, but not forgotten. Joyce’s family asked that any money donated in her memory should go towards a scholarship in her name.
